Painted with a renewed appreciation for places that remind me of what is important, what is real, lasting and authentic. This painting is inspired by a morning spent walking through my friend’s rose garden with her on a hot summer’s day. The smells, sounds, colours and shimmering heat flooded my senses and left me with a sense of wellbeing and an appreciation for the beautiful abundance of nature and the blessing of friendship and connection. Sensory overload, the joy of the moment and the memory, the smells and sounds, the peace and the harmony are all explored in this painting through colour, lively brushstrokes, texture and mark making. Painting size is 58 x 41 cm if unframed.
